The Fireblocks-owned treasury platform now lets institutional users query digital asset balances and transaction histories through natural language in Claude.
TRES Finance, the digital asset treasury management platform acquired by Fireblocks earlier this year, has released a dedicated plugin for Anthropic’s Claude AI directory. The tool connects live portfolio data managed through TRES directly into Claude, letting institutional users run natural-language queries on everything from account balances to transaction reconciliations.
What TRES AI Connect actually does #
The integration comes in two pieces. First, there’s TRES AI Connect, a multi-channel processor built on Anthropic’s Model Context Protocol (MCP) that links live digital asset data to Claude. The MCP endpoint sits at ai.tres.finance/mcp, and users authenticate through their existing TRES accounts.
Second, there’s the Claude plugin itself, hosted on GitHub, which packages a set of specific financial skills. These include generating transaction flow diagrams, managing cost basis calculations, and producing reconciliation reports, all through conversational prompts rather than manual data wrangling.
TRES supports clients managing billions in digital assets, and the platform’s core audience consists of crypto-native firms and regulated institutions that need audit-grade financial records.
The Fireblocks connection #
TRES Finance was acquired by Fireblocks for $130 million in January 2026, a deal that folded TRES’s treasury management and compliance tooling into Fireblocks’ broader institutional infrastructure. Prior to the acquisition, TRES had raised approximately $18.6 million in venture funding.

The acquisition gave Fireblocks something it didn’t have: a dedicated financial intelligence and compliance layer purpose-built for digital assets. TRES handles the accounting side of crypto, while Fireblocks handles custody, transfers, and tokenization.
Why AI plugins matter for institutional crypto #
Anthropic has been expanding Claude’s finance plugin ecosystem through early-to-mid 2026, adding verified integrations for various financial workflows. TRES slots in as a specialized data layer focused specifically on digital assets, a niche that most traditional finance plugins don’t touch.
Despite these advancements, there has been little evidence of new plugin directory additions in recent weeks, potentially limiting TRES’s visibility within the broader Anthropic finance plugin landscape.
