Today, we are announcing a series of updates that give customers frontier-grade security at half the cost. MAI-Cyber-1-Flash is our first cybersecurity model, built ground up to find the most challenging vulnerabilities in complex code bases. When combined with MDASH, it delivers world-class performance at 50 percent of the cost of leading models. We are bringing this capability to market through Project Perception, a complete agentic security offering grounded in real-world signals and security workflows. Teams of specialized agents work together to simulate attacks, detect and triage/investigate, and fix and remediate. This is the benefit of building the harness, context/signals, and action space separate from one model family. By combining specialized models and data with the right agents, tools, security context, and harness, we can advance the frontier of cost to outcome. Learn more:

Satya Nadella, Your team knows scanning doesn't stop frontier Agents. Yet, one of your "New Key Leaders" is sitting on a true Agent Governance solution (full specs) that immutably and 100% contains frontier agents, like Fable 5 and the GPT model that escaped. It is live on the Microsoft Marketplace as a Managed App. Our solution allows Microsoft to gain back almost 60% of electricity, free up GPUs from legacy security products-start filling RPO and govern your infrastructure. We asked for zero money, zero free licenses, and zero engineers. Emails tell you why Microsoft. Brad Smith is your competitive advantage. A shout-out to Amazon: That within 2 weeks of contact is helping us bring our agents' DISA Stig compliant to their Marketplace. One agent can govern swarms and multi-chained agents. All tests and demos were turned over to a government agency last year and your teams too. The irony? We can reach President Trump's team easier than we can reach you or Mustafa Suleyman. Mustafa—remember when Jude Fils-Aimé told you directly at a conference that it was live? You talked about Containment, seemed excited, and said to email you. I assume it got filtered out. Lot's of public videos were live but we were asked to take some down by someone in military.

Simon Falk3h Fascinating to see Microsoft emphasizing the separation of models, harnesses, context, and action space. It reinforces the idea that future AI systems will be differentiated less by the individual model and more by the architecture that governs cooperation, transparency, and trust. It’s precisely this transition that motivated our work on Inter Dimensional Computation | IDC™ — exploring how ethical reasoning, temporal awareness, provenance, and interoperable machine trust can become part of the computational substrate rather than an afterthought. Looking forward to seeing where this direction leads the industry Satya Nadella.

Kaan Can G.21h The bigger shift here is not simply a cheaper model. It is security becoming a coordinated system that can think like an attacker, investigate like an analyst, and act like an engineer. The real benchmark will be how much it shortens the path from discovery to verified remediation without losing human oversight.

This reinforces an important point: the future of AI is not about a single superior model, but about superior orchestration. Models generate intelligence; governance, context, and system design turn that intelligence into reliable institutional outcomes.

Cost efficient security at this performance tier signals broader market maturation. Leadership teams evaluating workforce technology investments should note this pattern: specialized, purpose built solutions increasingly outperform generalized ones. Preventative approaches, whether securing infrastructure or safeguarding employee health, consistently deliver stronger long term value.

Congrats to the Microsoft AI team on MAI-Cyber-1-Flash! What impresses me most is the pragmatic system design. The Model + Data + Harness framing really resonates: world-class models are only as good as the data and harness behind them, and Microsoft's decades of real exploit/remediation signals are tough to replicate. Great to see safety built in at every layer too. Excited to watch Perception grow!

Aayush Swami21h Focusing on "cost to outcome" over sheer model size is the exact direction enterprise AI needs to go. Decoupling the agent harness and context from the underlying base model clearly pays off—achieving a 95.95% success rate on CyberGym at half the cost is a massive win for SecOps teams looking to scale proactive defense efficiently.

Maid Dizdarevic19h Better outcomes rarely come from one powerful model alone; they come from combining specialized tools, context, and workflows around the problem. The same is true in job search, where a clear strategy usually outperforms sending more applications blindly. For anyone looking to turn focused effort into interviews, my friends at applyall.co guarantee interviews or your money back. Strong systems make progress more consistent and easier to sustain.

Anish Sharma21h This is an interesting shift from building larger models to building better systems. For enterprise security, orchestration, context, and specialized agents often create more value than model size alone.

Geetha Kumari K.21h Separating the harness, context, and action space from the model layer is key for enterprise adoption. When multi-agent systems run within clear governance boundaries, organizations achieve predictable cost-to-outcome metrics without sacrificing security or auditability.
