If you’re looking for a punchy RTX 50-series gaming PC for a great price, then this discounted Stormcraft Altair build is well worth checking out. It’s $350 off right now at Newegg, and down to a pretty accessable $1,049.99. That’s not bad, and somewhat in line with your typical RTX 5060 build in terms of pricing, only this PC packs a more powerful RTX 5060 Ti 8GB instead.
The RTX 5060 TI is essentially a beefed up RTX 5060, with a higher CUDA core count and superior performance. While they both have 8GB of GDDR7 VRAM, the Ti takes the win when it comes to FHD and QHD gaming, in particular. Of course, you’re still getting all the Blackwell features and generational improvements associated, such as 4th-gen ray tracing cores and 5th-gen tensor cores powering its AI capabilities, and MFG.

STORMCRAFT Gaming PC, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 Ti- 8GB
On the CPU front, you’ve got the classic Intel i5-14400F. It’s a decent processor that packs 10 cores, 16 threads, a 4.7GHz boost clock speed, and 20MB L3 cache. While it may not be as future-facing as a newer Core Ultra model, it’s an appropriate, and cost-effective choice for the RTX 5060 Ti 8GB, especially for gaming.

This build opts for 16GB of DDR4, which helps it stay relatively affordable. Again, it’s adequate for gaming, but for heavy multitasking, creative workloads, and handling future or more demanding AAA releases, more is always more. The same can be said for its 1TB SSD, which is fine and keeps costs lower, but will require some storage management to stop it from filling up too quickly.
What we like about this Stormcraft Altair gaming PC #
Cost-effective graphics card for FHD and QHD gaming with Blackwell features
Boasting 4,608 CUDA cores, and boasting exclusive features like MFG, the RTX 5060 Ti 8GB is a strong choice if you want something for FHD and QHD gaming, without the huge price tag.
Its CPU makes a lot of sense in this build
The Intel Core i5-14400F doesn’t require heavy cooling, which would ramp up the price of this build, and is more than enough for FHD gaming. It even has 10 cores, which is more than many lower-end Ryzen AM5 models, making it quite decent for multitasking and lighter creative work.
Stylish PC case gives this build a more premium feel
Stormcraft gaming PCs are some of the best-looking builds you can get for the price, in my opinion, and this is a great example of that. You’ve got aRGB throughout, tempered glass panels, and neat cable management, all of which add up to a prebuild that’ll really elevate your setup.
Things to consider before buying #
RAM is on the lower side here, which would be my first point of call to upgrade if you’re after smoother gaming performance in more demanding titles, and more headroom for streaming, and running background applications while gaming. I’d also consider looking at some AM5 CPUs, like the Ryzen 7 8700F, which are on t he AM5 platform. These will end themselves better to future upgrades than a LGA 1700 socket Intel CPU like this one.
