Wearable AI pendants are nothing new, and neither are AI desktop companions. However, at IFA 2026, Singapore-based company Lingverse is showcasing a modular AI wearable that can both sit at your desk and hang around your neck.
The company calls it iKairos, and its modular design lets it learn about the user’s life from different perspectives. At a desk, it will observe and interact with users like any other desktop AI robot. However, users can pop it out of its robot body and slot it into a necklace to take it with them on the go.
As a result, iKairos can capture contextual data about the user across multiple environments. It will then feed this data into LifeOS — Lingverse’s AI operating system — which will use it to surface relevant and (hopefully) useful suggestions for the user.
An example shared by Lingverse has iKairos recognizing a recurring topic of conversation — sailing — that never seems to go anywhere in reality. It can then suggest that the wearer take a sailing lesson on the weekend.
Lingverse is also highlighting the privacy aspects of this new AI wearable. According to the company, iKairos comes with software and hardware privacy protections. It includes a physical camera shutter, a privacy indicator light, and a manual mute button. Lingverse adds that all data is encrypted both in transit and at rest. The company won’t use this data to train its AI models and will let users manage how long their information is stored.
Lingverse’s overarching plan is for iKairos to develop an intricate, nuanced understanding of users’ habits, work, friends, and conversations. It can then use this information to power at-home robots in the future by integrating iKairos into a robotic body or accessory.
The company hasn’t settled on a price or given any details about a potential launch timeline. However, interested users can join a waitlist on the Lingverse website.
