Most AI detectors are anxiety as a service. They scan your text, flash a scary "98% AI-generated" score, and leave you staring at the screen wondering what to do next.
I just shipped an AI detector on my free tools site, and I refused to build it that way. Instead I built what I call the verify loop: Detect → Humanize → Verify. Here's why it matters and how it works.
A detection score without a fix creates exactly one emotion: panic. Students rewrite randomly, professionals paraphrase blindly, and nobody learns what "sounding human" actually means. The tool did its job (detection) and abandoned the user at the worst moment.
That third step is the whole product, honestly. Without it, the humanizer is just another paraphraser. With it, it's a closed loop the user can believe in.
score, verdict, signals[] with quotes, summary) instead of prose, so I can render a proper animated score ring and evidence cards. Graceful fallback to raw text if parsing fails.moreover, delve, tapestry, crucial...) counted before/after gives users a concrete "X AI fingerprints removed" stat. Cheap, honest, satisfying.
If you're building any kind of "checker" tool — plagiarism, AI detection, SEO, accessibility — ask yourself what happens *after* the red flag. If the answer is "the user figures it out," you haven't finished the tool. Ship the fix next to the flag, and then prove the fix worked.
The detector + humanizer are live and free, no signup, part of a 56-tool PDF site I run solo: [https://pdfwordtools.pages.dev/ai-detector.html](https://pdfwordtools.pages.dev/ai-detector.html)
What checker tools have you used that left you hanging after the verdict?
