Let's talk about that low-key panic we all feel when giving autonomous AI coding agents (like Claude Code or Cursor) the keys to our local machines 🛑

We love them for speeding up our workflow, but letting an AI modify files or execute terminal commands locally can get pretty nerve-wracking.

Why? Because of a sneaky issue: hallucinations.

How it actually works under the hood:

An AI doesn't "think"—it predicts the most statistically probable tokens or code snippets based on its training data. Sometimes, it gets it completely wrong and hallucinates a command or logic that looks valid to it, but will happily wipe your working directory or break your build.

How we handle this with StarkGate:

Instead of guessing whether an AI is behaving or trying to use another probabilistic AI to watch it, we use strict, deterministic rules.

Let's zoom in on one single feature today: Path Blocking.

StarkGate intercepts the agent's target path before any action is executed. If the agent tries to touch a protected directory (like system configs or private keys), the firewall cuts it off instantly—no thinking, no AI involved, purely mathematical and fail-closed. 🛡️

Zero room for hallucinations on sensitive paths. The door is locked.

Do you fully trust autonomous coding agents on your local machine yet, or does it still stress you out? Let's discuss in the comments 👇
