Testing Seedance 2.5 for Fashion-Style Video Generation: How Consistent Is It?

ByteDance's Seedance 2.5 video generation model demonstrated improved visual consistency in fashion-style video tests, though character identity and fine details still drift. The tester found transitions smooth and art direction coherent enough for potential creative workflows, but noted limitations with complex motion and detail preservation.

I’ve been testing Seedance 2.5 with short fashion and editorial-style video concepts, mainly to see how well it can maintain visual consistency across a sequence.

For this test, I focused on several things: character appearance, styling, transitions, camera movement, and whether the overall visual direction could stay coherent instead of feeling like a collection of unrelated AI-generated shots. The result was better than I expected in terms of overall art direction. The transitions felt relatively smooth, and the fashion/editorial look stayed consistent enough to make the video feel like one concept rather than separate generations stitched together.

There are still limitations. Fine details can drift, character identity is not always perfectly preserved, and more complex motion can introduce inconsistencies. But the gap between an experimental AI clip and something that could potentially fit into a real creative workflow seems to be getting smaller.

What interests me most is not simply whether AI video can produce a visually impressive shot. The more important question is whether it can produce results consistently enough to become useful in repeated production workflows.

I’m curious whether anyone else here has been testing Seedance 2.5 or similar video models.

What has been the hardest thing for you to keep consistent — character identity, clothing, motion, camera movement, or small visual details?
