Telnyx Meeting API Now Available in Beta

Telnyx launched its Meeting API in beta, enabling developers to programmatically add a Telnyx-controlled AI participant to Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, or Webex meetings and receive live transcription, in-meeting speech and chat, and structured post-meeting artifacts through a single REST API contract. The API includes endpoints for session management, live transcript retrieval, actions like speak and send chat, and asynchronous summary and action items generation.

GET /v2/meeting sessions/{id}/transcript and through lifecycle events. actions/speak runs text through Telnyx TTS and plays it into the meeting, actions/stop speaking interrupts, and actions/send chat posts a chat message. barge in stops bot audio when a human speaks. summary and action items artifacts asynchronously. summarize on end auto-generates a summary once the final transcript settles, delivered through the artifact.completed webhook when a webhook URL is set. GET /v2/meeting sessions/{id}/recordings returns pass-through download URLs for recordings captured during the meeting. webhook url on session create to receive signed meeting lifecycle events. Outbound webhooks are off by default.
