Tell HN: I want to build an open-source Trello that's free, and a joy to use A developer announced plans to build an open-source Trello clone that is free, feature-complete, and focused on good UX, without AI, React, or SPAs. The project aims to be a joy to use and avoid feature creep, with a sign-up form available for interested users. Hey HN, one of my favorite hobby is building good open-source software that's actually well-designed, looks good, and is a joy to use. So far, I've built https://www.gethalfmoon.com Bootstrap alternative , and https://forms.md Typeform clone . I'm also a fan of software that's done, or completed. Software doesn't have to constantly update and add useless bullshit. Most of the time, less is more. I also really dislike SPAs, and prefer fast-loading HTML based web apps with HTMX now . When I first used Trello, I became a fan instantly. It just had that quality that you get with some software where you actually like using it. Here's what I want to build next in my free time, so no commitments : an open-source, free Trello clone that's feature-complete, and also a joy to use with good UX. No AI, no React, no SPA bullshit, no stupid pricing, no stupid feature creep, just the basics executed with skill. Would you be interested?
