Tell HN: Claude Code refuses to login to any website not running on localhost

A Hacker News user posting as xeonax reported that Claude Code refused to log in to any website not running on localhost, blocking testing of work items on a test environment. The user said the behavior appeared in both Opus 5.5 and Opus 4.8, and described it as a regression on Opus 4.8, which had previously worked for the same task.
