Tell HN: Claude Code appends new commit signature even if older settings is off

A Hacker News user reported that Claude Code now appends a "Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_xyz" line to git commits by default, even when the older automatic "co-authored by" Claude signature setting is disabled in the user's config. The user, posting as ctxc, called the new default-on behavior "Annoying, feels scummy" and flagged it as a PSA for other developers.
