Music-industry professionals have been rushing to connect various [Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers](https://musically.com/2026/07/20/ais-new-usb-port-what-the-mcp-standard-means-for-the-music-industry/) to their AI chatbots of choice. However, there may be more reluctance in some quarters to add the latest launch: [it’s from Suno](https://suno.com/mcp).

“Add Suno to your AI stack,” explains the launch blurb for Suno’s move into the MCP world, which is billed as an ‘early access’ product for now. “Access the Suno MCP from your AI tool and create music right from the chat.”

The Suno MCP can currently be connected to Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude Code and Cursor, as well as other AI tools if people are comfortable fiddling with the required connector settings manually.

Songs that people generate using the Suno MCP use up credits as they would on Suno’s own site and app, with the music saved to their library so it can be accessed from those places too. The MCP is available to free users of Suno as well as paying subscribers.

Suno is one of the first big AI-music tools to launch an MCP server, albeit in early-access form rather than being available to all. The prospect of accessing Suno from Anthropic’s Claude is a particularly spicy one for music rightsholders, given the ongoing copyright lawsuits against both companies.
