Sunnyvale ranked 7th best midsize city for college graduates in annual study

Sunnyvale ranked No. 7 among midsize cities in CoworkingCafe's annual study of top cities for college graduates, slipping from second place last year due to a $22,400 income correction and rising youth unemployment. The city has the second-highest median income at nearly $109,800 and the third-highest share of young adults with a bachelor's degree at 70%.

CoworkingCafe analyzed the factors that help this year’s graduates navigate their first steps into the professional world, from employment opportunities and day-to-day costs to lifestyle offerings. Sunnyvale has the second-highest median income among midsize cities at almost $109,800. Among cities its size, it also has the third-highest share of young adults ages 18-34 holding a bachelor’s degree 70% and offers the second-largest employer-based health insurance coverage for young adults 83% . Even so, Sunnyvale slipped from second place last year after a roughly $22,400 income correction, in addition to youth unemployment that rose to 8%.
