Extract the text outside LM Studio instead (any PDF-to-text tool will do), split it into chunks that fit the model’s context, summarize each chunk, then summarize those summaries together — every page is read exactly once, and LM Studio never has to ingest the 200-page file at all. For Excel, export each sheet to CSV first and treat it the same way. You can check the difference with one question about the final pages: the RAG version will usually miss it, the chunked version will not.
