I’ll break down some of this TV’s key components below, but I’d say this TV is best suited for those looking for something big enough to be immersive, without completely dominating a space, and high-end enough to really showcase films, games, and shows at their very best, especially in lower light environments, where OLEDs can make for a truly cinematic and atmospheric experience. At its current price, I think it’s a bit of a winner, and well worth checking out.

This is essentially an absolute powerhouse of a processor that leverages AI to enhance picture and audio quality on-the-fly. The better the processor, the better it does this, and it’s very important nowadays as people tend to watch content on a very wide range of platforms, and not everything is 4K native, or with particularly good audio either.
Motion Xcellerator 144Hz for smoother gaming and sports
With fast-paced sports, sometimes it’s hard to track what’s happening on-screen if there’s too much motion blur, and the same goes for gaming. This feature resolves this, resulting in super smooth on-screen motion that’s especially good if you’re using this TV for competitive gaming sessions.
SDR to HDR quality upscaling
OLEDs are the top dogs when it comes to HDR performance, and the great news is that even when watching SDR content, it’ll look much closer to HDR thanks to this premium upscaling feature.

Should you buy this right now?
So it is a good time to buy, but as with phones, tablets, laptops, and pretty much any technology, the older it gets, the cheaper it gets, in most cases, that is. This Samsung TV, as you can see from above, hasn’t been anywhere near its full price for months, and I’d say it’s probably going to drop a little further in the near future. Whether that’s on Prime Day itself or more towards Black Friday, we won’t know. Personally, based on my experience with covering deals for years now, I’d say that if it does drop, it’s not going to be a huge one, maybe around $100 if I had to throw out my best guess. In short, I think now is as good a time as any to go for it, before it jumps back up in price again.
