SSO lands: IP intelligence for the whole company

Patent.dev shipped single sign-on support in its self-hosted patent connector v1.14.1, letting self-hosters log in with Microsoft Entra or any OIDC provider and manage access through their existing organizational identity systems. The release targets mid-size and large firms and global enterprises, and follows the connector's partnership with The Lens, which links patents to the underlying science for R&D, product and strategy teams. The company said internal IPMS connectors are in development and that a further intelligence feature is coming soon.

On the free hosted side, thousands already run their patent work through it. At that scale, single sign-on is not optional. So what I have been running with selected customers is now available to every self-hoster: log in with Microsoft Entra, or any OIDC provider, and manage access the way your organization already does. This fits a goal I care about. I want to bring the beauty and the value of IP intelligence to people who are not IP specialists, and to show the specialists that, with the right IT, that can actually happen. SSO is a small and unglamorous piece of it, and a necessary one: intelligence helps most when the whole organization can reach it, safely.
