SpaceXAI Rebrands and Releases Grok 4.5

Reported events: Business Insider and Yahoo report that xAI has rebranded to SpaceXAI, updating its account handle and logo after SpaceX's June IPO; Business Insider notes Elon Musk said in May that xAI would be folded into SpaceX. Gizmodo reports that Grok 4.5 is the first model release under the SpaceXAI name and quotes Musk calling it "an Opus-class model, but faster, more token-efficient, and lower cost." Business Insider and Yahoo additionally report SpaceX disclosed $12.7 billion in AI capital expenditures for 2025 and said it aims to deploy "AI compute satellites" as early as 2028.
