# SolarWinds has a new CISO, new AI products, and some deep scars > Source: > Published: 2026-09-08 11:05:44+00:00 When Solarwinds’ CTO Krishna Sai thinks about cybersecurity he thinks – perhaps obviously – about the company’s software supply chain, but also about AI: not just about how the company uses it, but how and where it builds its own AI features. SolarWinds – which provides IT monitoring and support, network and systems management tools – like every software firm has started to ship “agentic” capabilities that aim to automate away some of the painful grunt-work its customers need to do. The company, for example, rolled out its first “[SolarWinds AI Agent](https://www.solarwinds.com/company/newsroom/press-releases/solarwinds-launches-ai-agent-expands-ai-capabilities-advance-autonomous-operational-resilience?ref=thestack.technology)” in October 2025, promising the ability to “summarise outages, gather diagnostics, identify probable root causes, and suggest remediation steps” and added [__additional__](https://www.solarwinds.com/company/newsroom/press-releases/solarwinds-launches-sw1-an-agentic-ai-teammate-to-power-the-next-era-of-it-automation?ref=thestack.technology) AI services in 2026. To Krishna – who joined SolarWinds in June 2021, when the white-hot pain of a major supply chain attack was still fresh at the company – building secure AI capabilities is a full stack consideration: “Folks are so focused on the coding aspects of AI, [they] forget that you need good infrastructure that supports healthy AI software factories.”
