Skyvern (YC S23) Is Hiring Open-Source Loving DevRel Engineers Skyvern, a Y Combinator-backed open-source AI agent startup from the S23 batch, is hiring a Developer Relations Engineer to expand its reach among developers. The company seeks a candidate who can create technical video content, manage social media, and engage authentically with the open-source and AI community to drive adoption of its browser automation tool. The role offers the opportunity to define the company's voice and build genuine relationships within a rapidly growing AI agent market. Skyvern is an open-source AI agent that automates anything in a browser. YC-backed. Growing fast. We have a product developers get excited about when they see it. The problem: not enough developers have seen it. We need someone who can make Skyvern impossible to ignore. Someone who understands the product deeply enough to demo it, explain it, and make content that actually resonates with technical audiences. The work - Create YouTube content—demos, tutorials, deep dives—that developers actually watch - Produce short-form content for Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok, wherever devs scroll - Build and own Skyvern's social presence from the ground up - Engage authentically with the open-source and AI community not just broadcast—actually participate - Dream up and execute viral campaigns. We're an AI agent that can browse the internet—there's a lot to work with. - Experiment constantly. Double down on what works, kill what doesn't. Why this role is interesting - The product demos well. AI agents doing browser tasks is inherently visual and satisfying to watch. - Open source = built-in community. You're not selling—you're building genuine relationships. - Small team, big canvas. No brand guidelines committee. You'd define the voice. - You'd be early at a company in a category AI agents that's about to get very loud. First-mover advantage matters. You - You've built an audience before—your own or someone else's. Show us. - You can explain technical products without dumbing them down or losing people. - Comfortable on camera. You don't need a production team to ship a good video. - Strong writer. Your tweets and posts don't sound like marketing. - Plugged into the AI/dev tools world. You know what's resonating and why. - Scrappy. You'll do the editing, the posting, the replies, the A/B tests—whatever it takes. - Bonus: you've written code. You can actually run Skyvern, not just talk about it. Apply Send your best content—videos, threads, posts, campaigns. Follower counts matter less than quality. Show us something you made that you think is genuinely good.
