The project, which began as a fork of TavernAI in February 2023, has grown to over 300 contributors and offers features like mobile-friendly layout, Visual Novel Mode, and customizable UI. SillyTavern is a locally installed passion project that does not track user data and requires only NodeJS 20 or higher to run.
