A developer built WeekendMax, a statically served site that shows every destination within reach of a user's city for each US long weekend, including weather, crowd levels, and cost estimates. The site, built with React/Typescript/Vite on Cloudflare Pages and using photos from Wikipedia/Wikimedia Commons, requires no signup and is mobile friendly, with sharable listings and affiliate links for booking flights, lodgings, and cars.

I like to travel but I don't enjoy planning and often don't start until it's completely too late when prices are high or things are sold out.
