Show HN: Vector – a macOS app for engineering with agents A developer released Vector, a macOS application for orchestrating AI coding agents, linking OpenAI's Codex and Anthropic's Claude through their command-line interfaces, with more providers planned. The app was rebuilt from a native SwiftUI implementation into a Tauri stack with a Rust backend and React frontend running in the system's built-in web view. Vector is similar to T3 code and its features are described as basic, with the developer citing experimentation around agent orchestration and designing what agents will implement as the motivation. Vector is a MacOS app for orchestrating agents. It's similar to T3 code and the features are basic, but I have some things to try out around orchestrating agents, designing what the agents will implement, etc. You can link Codex and Claude right now via their CLIs , and more providers will follow soon. Tech-wise, this stared as a native SwiftUI app, but it was actually terrible. Not that SwiftUI is terrible, but that my web development background didn't lend itself to getting a good result with it. So it's now Tauri rust backend, React frontend, using the system's built-in web view , which has been great. Turns out browsers are highly optimized for UI Comments URL: https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=50377639 https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=50377639 Points: 1 Comments: 0
