Reading technical books is hard. Unknown words, confusing phrases, and misunderstood concepts requires opening your phone, starting Claude, and working with Sonnet through a series of exchanges, before finally getting it.
Focusing back on reading after such a context switch can be difficult. Repeated multiple times and your attention span is gone.
Fix: An assistant understands your book deeply and answers inquiries through voice while you read, side-stepping the current process entirely.
All you have to do is: - Upload a PDF version of your physical book and start reading - Say "Hey Lumos" along with your inquiry ("why does det(A) mean the matrix loses volume?") - Assistant researches the contents of the book and responds - Continue reading until you need help again
It's in extreme beta but works well enough where I can't read a book without it. If you're interested in trying it out, reach out.
