Show HN: Premiss – Coding agents for building trading strategies Premiss, a new platform for researching, building, and testing trading strategies with coding agents, was launched on Hacker News. Founder built it to replace predefined rules and visual editors with code-based strategy development, allowing agents to research, write, run, and iterate on strategies while keeping code inspectable. The platform is early-stage, with boundaries between agent and deterministic systems still being defined. Hey HN, First time posting a Show HN. I've been building Premiss, a platform for researching, building and testing trading strategies with coding agents. I started working on it because I felt that a lot of existing trading platforms still make you build strategies through predefined rules and visual editors. Those feel out of date and wrapping a model around an existing interface feels like limiting the model. Code doesn't really have that limitation, and with coding agents getting much better, I started wondering what a trading platform built around them from the beginning would look like. With Premiss, the agent has access to the research and backtesting environment and can research an idea, write the strategy in code, run it, inspect the results and iterate on it. The code is there for you to inspect as well rather than the strategy living inside a rule builder. It's still early and I'm figuring out what the right boundaries are between the agent and the deterministic parts of the system. would love feedback premissai.com Comments URL: https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=49313271 https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=49313271 Points: 2 Comments: 0
