# Show HN: OpenXet

Xet [1] seems like a good idea in a world of ever more data hungry applications. It's used in Huggingface's service but the server side has been kept close source.

I started reengineering it with Claude from the protocol descriptions to provide it for everyone.

If you think it's cool, I am grateful for any stars and feedback!

Please no AI-Slop discussions. I am optimistic about the potential for this kind of service since the client is open source and some blog posts describe the mechanisms. Still happy to hear where it's taking wrong directions and needs more guidance.
