Show HN: Open source Slack for agents and people Developer Chris launched an open-source, Slack-style chat interface for coordinating multiple AI agents, morphing his earlier closed-source parallel-agent manager after finding he could only work with 3 or 4 agents at once without information overload. The tool lets users message agents privately or address a channel of them, with agents able to delegate work and create other agents, and adds multiple harnesses (Codex, OpenCode, with Claude Code awaiting Anthropic approval), git worktrees, connections to hundreds of MCPs, CLIs and APIs, browser-use, and a proactive Chief of Staff that periodically wakes up. It runs locally with no telemetry. Hi guys, Posted this https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=48832797 https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=48832797 on HN a few months ago when it was a different product and closed source . It was originally a way of managing multiple agents in parallel like TMUX, but with a nicer chat UI . But I found that I was only able to work with 3 or 4 agents simultaneously without information overload, so I decided to morph it into something which resembles Slack, where you can either privately speak to agents or address a room like a channel full of them. Importantly though, the agents can delegate work to each other, create other agents etc. Also had lots of user feedback from the first launch which means we've added multiple harnesses Codex, OpenCode and waiting for Anthropic to approve Claude Code , git worktrees, connections to hundreds of MCPs, CLIs and APIs, browser-use and a proactive Chief of Staff which periodically wakes up and gets things moving . It's local with no telemetry. Grateful for the feedback from our users from the first launch. Would be grateful for bug reports, other problems, ideas, questions or suggestions. Thanks, Chris Comments URL: https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=49966215 https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=49966215 Points: 1 Comments: 0
