What is an MCP server for sticky notes? #

Do my notes leave my Mac? #
The Noticky MCP server and its authenticated connection run locally on your Mac. When you ask an AI app to read a note, that app may process the content according to its own provider and privacy settings.
What can an AI app do with my Noticky notes? #
Depending on the permissions you enable, it can search and read notes, bring a note to the front, create notes, append or update content, move notes to Trash, and restore them.
Can MCP permanently delete a note? #
No. The Trash tool only moves an active note to Noticky's recoverable Trash. A separate restore tool can bring it back.
What version of macOS does Noticky require? #
Noticky requires macOS 15 Sequoia or later. The MCP integration runs locally through the Mac app.
