Page
A topic in your pot, like one client or one project. Each page has a short overview (up to 4,000 characters) and its own facts. Pages can have sub-pages, and you can choose who reads or writes each one.

Version history
Every change to a page or fact is saved, with who made it: a person or their AI. You can see what changed and restore an earlier version. Your plan decides how long old versions are kept.

Team member
A person with their own login. Each member connects their own AI tools, as many as they like: Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and more. You only pay for people, never for tools.

Questions. #
Do I need to install anything? #
No. Add Brainpot as a connector in Claude or ChatGPT, or run one command in Claude Code or Cursor. Your AI starts using it right away.
How does Brainpot affect token usage? #
Brainpot runs no AI of its own and costs no tokens. When your assistant reads from the pot, the reply counts toward its context like any other tool result. Replies stay small: your assistant fetches only the page it needs, and a reply is capped at about 8,000 tokens. Most teams spend fewer tokens overall, since nobody pastes the same background into every chat.
Which AI tools work? #
Any client that supports MCP, including Claude, Claude Code, ChatGPT, Cursor and Copilot. Everyone on the team can use a different one.
Where and how is my data stored? #
On servers in the EU. Each workspace is encrypted with its own key, kept separate from the database. Backups are encrypted and kept for 30 days.
Can you read our content? #
Our staff have no tool for viewing it. If support ever needs to look, you grant time-limited access and it shows in your log. To answer your AI, our servers decrypt content only while serving a request from someone on your team. For content even we must never be able to read, Large Teams will add sealed pages that are encrypted on your devices.
Do you train AI on our data? #
No. We don't run AI models on your content, and we never sell or share it.
Is every change saved? #
Yes. Every edit to pages, facts, structure and permissions is versioned with who made it, person or AI. You can compare and restore earlier versions. History is kept 7 days on Free and 90 days on Small Teams.
Can I export everything? #
Yes, on every plan, any time. You get a zip with Markdown files that mirror your page tree, plus a complete JSON file including history. Teams can also export automatically through the API.
What happens if we cancel? #
Your workspace becomes read-only and you can still export everything for 90 days. Then we email you, and delete it 30 days later, backups included.
GDPR, DPA and the legal side #
Brainpot is run by Try New Things AB, a Swedish company. You control your data and we process it on your behalf under GDPR. A standard data processing agreement is available to every customer, and our subprocessors (hosting, email delivery, Stripe) are listed on the security page. Read the DPA, privacy policy and terms.
How does billing work? #
Brainpot is sold to businesses. Pay monthly or yearly by card through Stripe and enter your company's VAT or tax number at checkout. Prices exclude VAT: Swedish companies pay 25%, other EU companies are reverse-charged. Add or remove people any time.
