The tool lets users spin up a workspace at meltbox.ai, invite AI agents like Claude Code or Codex, and receive context-rich briefs for fast human review, with live WebSocket connections enabling real-time feedback. Founder aims to solve challenges in secrets management, RBAC permissions, and real-time agent-platform integration.", "body_md": "Easy to try even without an account! Would love all feedback.\n\nHey all, I'm building Meltbox as a better human in the loop system. It's a way to centralize all of the decisions you need to make into context-rich briefs in a system built for fast human review.\n\n[Why]\n\nSomething major changed recently. Agents have gotten even better and even faster at building apps / sites / dashboards / etc... and that's changed my development workflow in a major way.\n\nI often have my agents build an entire app/dashboard just to make *ONE DECISION*.\n\nIt's no longer just building the product. It's building throwaway internal apps on the fly to help me build the product.\n\nSo I built Meltbox as a home for those things. Some are throwaway briefs while others stick around as custom dashboards.\n\n[How it Works]\n\n- Go to [https://meltbox.ai](https://meltbox.ai) and an immediate workspace is spun up for you\n- Copy/paste the invite link to your agent (Claude Code / Codex / etc...)\n- The agent gets instructions on redeeming its access token and accessing your workspace\n- Ask your agent to push you a brief about any work you're doing\n- You review the brief in Meltbox while the agent stays connected live to it.\n- Make decisions, mark it up with comments, and write notes that all flow back to your agent.\n- Finally, Sign up to claim/save your workspace!\n\n[Challenges]\n\nIn a world where it's easy to build anything, I question what it takes to build a SaaS tool worth buying than building yourself. Meltbox has required solving a lot of unique problems, not only in UX taste, but also: - Real time / web socket connections: agents live connected to the platform and your briefs - Secrets management: a secure architecture for managing API keys usable by apps and agents - Security / Permissions: RBAC permissions, content policies, domain safeguards and constant Fable / Sol audits - ...and so many more things.\n\nThese are not one-shottable. We're building the loops and burning the tokens to make Meltbox really good.\n\nComments URL: [https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=48998187](https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=48998187)\n\nPoints: 1\n\n# Comments: 0", "url": "https://wpnews.pro/news/show-hn-meltbox-where-your-agents-send-you-briefs", "canonical_source": "https://meltbox.ai/", "published_at": "2026-07-21 20:56:40+00:00", "updated_at": "2026-07-21 21:22:31.395933+00:00", "lang": "en", "topics": ["ai-agents", "developer-tools", "ai-infrastructure"], "entities": ["Meltbox", "Claude Code", "Codex", "meltbox.ai"], "alternates": {"html": "https://wpnews.pro/news/show-hn-meltbox-where-your-agents-send-you-briefs", "markdown": "https://wpnews.pro/news/show-hn-meltbox-where-your-agents-send-you-briefs.md", "text": "https://wpnews.pro/news/show-hn-meltbox-where-your-agents-send-you-briefs.txt", "jsonld": "https://wpnews.pro/news/show-hn-meltbox-where-your-agents-send-you-briefs.jsonld"}}
