Show HN: LokalBot – meetings, notes, and autocomplete that never leave your Mac A developer built LokalBot, an open-source macOS app that records, transcribes, and summarizes meetings entirely on-device using Apple Silicon, with features like inline autocomplete and a private timeline. The app aims to provide AI-powered productivity tools without sending data to the cloud. I wanted to have a daily work summary on what I spend my time that is auto generated by an LLM and meeting notes without shipping my calls to someone's cloud, so I built LokalBot. It records, transcribes, and summarizes meetings and your work, entirely on-device on Apple Silicon using a model of your choice. The app has a few tools that are related and share local models: inline autocomplete in any app, and a private day timeline and a chat/search with your meeting notes. It's a native app, built with Swift and open-source. I'm still waiting for my Apple developer account to be approved so I can properly sign/notarize the app but there is a .dmg on GitHub you can install and try. For transcription I recommend IBM Granite Speech 4.1, and for summarization any of the Qwen 3.5/6 models work well.
