Show HN: I built a local-first CVE triage app in Rust A developer released CVE Intel, a local-first vulnerability triage desktop application written in native Rust that queries up to 40 public data sources — including CISA's KEV catalog, FIRST's EPSS and ENISA's EU Vulnerability Database — and returns a 0-to-100 risk score with evidence and a recommended action for each CVE. The app ships 41 MCP tools for AI agents and coding assistants alongside a CLI and REST API, reads CycloneDX and SPDX SBOMs and lockfiles, and writes scans back out as CycloneDX 1.5 SBOMs with findings and recorded decisions. The release cites 48,185 CVEs published in 2025 (20.6% more than 2024) and over 86,000 by 27 October 2026, plus NIST's April 2026 statement that the National Vulnerability Database cannot keep up and Mandiant's M-Trends 2026 estimate of a mean time to exploit of −7 days. Know which vulnerabilities matter, and what to do about them. A private desktop app for vulnerability triage and scanning, written in native Rust, with a CLI, REST API and MCP server for developers and AI agents. 41 MCP tools, 40 data sources, SBOMs in and out, on-device AI.
