The first month above 1% was October 2016, above 5% was February 2023, and above 10% was May 2025, with a peak of 15.9% in February 2026 and a low of 0.8% in January 2022. Show HN posts have the highest rate at 19.8% this year, and the site's creator notes that this post itself contributes to that statistic.

This website counts titles containing the standalone word "AI", case-sensitive and word-bounded. "OpenAI" doesn't count. "AI-powered" does.
