Show HN: HN Notify

Jeremy Boyd relaunched HN Notify, a Hacker News notification service he originally built years ago and later shut down due to maintenance burden, now rebuilt with the help of agentic coding. The service offers email, RSS, PWA push notifications, and daily/weekly/monthly digest options, allowing users to follow people or topics and receive updates on new posts or replies.

A few years ago I built a very simple, though overly complicated, hacker news notification service. I always had dreams for a "bigger" application, where I could follow some people and read what they have to post, or specific topics and get notified with they show up, and if you don't want email, you can just have it sent to an RSS feed, or install it as a PWA and get the option for push notifications. Don't want immediate updates, change them to daily/weekly/monthly digest emails instead. The old HN Notify got shut down because it was getting to be too much work to maintain my sloppy code when I had other hobbies to play with.
