Hacker News users can now filter out low-quality stories with a new tool called 'Hacker News minus the slop,' an experiment by Mint Shelf that automatically hides submissions whose discussions suggest the linked content is a waste of time. The tool, which filtered two stories from the current page, aims to preserve the site's core experience while removing clickbait and misleading titles.
