- Toggle file stats and expanded patches with `s` .
- Get syntax-highlighted diffs with [`delta`](https://dandavison.github.io/delta/) , used automatically when installed.
- Spot agent coauthors with badges: Codex and Claude Code.
- Lockfiles fold automatically to keep source changes in view; expand them when needed.

- Highlight and filter [conventional commit](https://www.conventionalcommits.org/) types.

- Browse ref updates with `glog reflog` , timestamped to the second.
- Read dates in your local time, like `2026-10-01 15:35` , instead of Git's verbose default.
- Expand submodule diffs to inspect the changes inside.
- Follow commits and working-tree changes live with `glog --watch` .

## Install

`cargo install glog-tui git-delta`
Requires the latest stable Rust toolchain.

## Comparison to other tools

| Vanilla Git | glog adds interactive browsing and live refresh with familiar pager shortcuts. |
|---|---|
| Terminal UIs ( [`lazygit`](https://github.com/jesseduffield/lazygit) ,[` tig`](https://jonas.github.io/tig/) ) | glog focuses solely on read-only actions, so an accidental keypress won't change your files or rewrite history. |
| Git GUI apps | glog is lightweight and fits terminal workspaces such as [cmux](https://cmux.com) , where you can keep multiple projects open with a Git view alongside each one. |
