# Show HN: Conference / expo / trade show finder plus MCP

As a founder looking for industry events to network/sell at, Claude/ChatGPT search for conferences is extremely hit or miss. IME the agent never goes deep enough and frequently includes out of date events, misleading prices (claiming an event is free, but it's only free for buyers and $2795 for everyone else), or only the most major events. Also never sure if I'm missing something cheaper or closer or a better fit.

Spent a whole week's worth of tokens on industry event research validating event dates, finding prices, filtering junk events, de-duping, and generally cleaning up the data. May it be useful to other founders trying to sell.
