# Show HN: Built myself a super YouTube post-prod studio > Source: > Published: 2026-09-08 15:44:13+00:00 i just want to film myself rambling and all the cutting, grading, uploading, thumbs, short generation is done for me. 31k lines of code for now. when you're too poor to afford an editor, you pay for claude code max to build one there's a the "smart cutting" that saves me 95% of the time cutting stuff out from a semantical point of view (it turns it into a DaVinci Resolve timeline that i then import). there's a thumbnail generator (but i actually started to use the psd template way, where the background, text and contrast/brightness only are changed, and basically there's no ai involved, ai thumbnails don't perform well, i was told) also a shorts creator (it has a ton of internal steps) and there's also the autoupload that generates some titles, description, chapters, tags etc. no screenshot of that i finally started my yt era. optimizing this thought-to-posted-video cycle makes me comfortable spending time actually filming and sharing my ideas Comments URL: [https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=49611999](https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=49611999) Points: 1 # Comments: 0
