{"slug": "show-hn-agents-can-now-create-ios-live-activities", "title": "Show HN: Agents can now create iOS Live Activities", "summary": "A developer launched Agent Activity, an iOS app plus MCP integration that lets AI agents such as ChatGPT, Muse and Codex compose and update Live Activities on the iPhone lock screen in real time. The tool is pitched as a way to replace noisy agent notifications with persistent lock-screen updates, with use cases including birthday reminders pulled from Google Calendar, Facebook and LinkedIn, per-agent task status, nearby Citi Bike docks with e-bikes plus train times, and critical bug updates with a button to jump to logs. The project is available via TestFlight on request and was posted to Hacker News, where it had 3 points and 0 comments.", "body_md": "I gave my agents a way to create Live Activities on my iPhone lock screen.\n\nTheir notifications were becoming noise, so I built Agent Activity to surface what matters, updating in real time\n\nSome of my fav use cases with agents I use like ChatGPT, Muse, Codex: - Birthdays of people I’m close with (from gcal + fb + linkedin), first thing in the morning - What each agent is working on and what’s done - Closest citibike dock with ebikes + train times before I head home - Critical updates like root cause found for a bug, with a button to jump straight to the logs\n\nInstall the iOS app + connect the MCP in your agent(s). Your agents compose the layout and update it as they work, or through recurring scheduled tasks.\n\nWould appreciate any feedback or thoughts. And comment/DM if you'd want to try it via testflight!\n\nComments URL: [https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=50014480](https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=50014480)\n\nPoints: 3\n\n# Comments: 0", "url": "https://wpnews.pro/news/show-hn-agents-can-now-create-ios-live-activities", "canonical_source": "https://twitter.com/kunalabcdani/status/2108353343089152106", "published_at": "2026-10-09 00:37:46+00:00", "updated_at": "2026-10-09 00:47:08.803720+00:00", "lang": "en", "topics": ["ai-agents", "agent-protocols", "ai-tools", "ai-products"], "entities": ["Agent Activity", "ChatGPT", "Muse", "Codex", "iPhone", "iOS", "Hacker News", "TestFlight"], "also_reported_by": [], "alternates": {"html": "https://wpnews.pro/news/show-hn-agents-can-now-create-ios-live-activities", "markdown": "https://wpnews.pro/news/show-hn-agents-can-now-create-ios-live-activities.md", "text": "https://wpnews.pro/news/show-hn-agents-can-now-create-ios-live-activities.txt", "jsonld": "https://wpnews.pro/news/show-hn-agents-can-now-create-ios-live-activities.jsonld"}}
