{"slug": "show-hn-acrylic-an-ide-for-office-work", "title": "Show HN: Acrylic – An IDE for Office Work", "summary": "Acrylic launched as an AI-native editor that works directly inside DOCX, XLSX, and PPTX files, editing paragraphs, tables, cells, formulas, and slides while preserving existing formatting and saving in the original file format. Acrylic runs on cloud models now, with local on-device and on-premise deployment options described as coming soon, and it also opens and edits text formats such as Markdown and JSON. The product connects multiple files to a single task — for example updating a report from a spreadsheet and then generating a presentation — and shows which files it opened and what it changed at each step.", "body_md": "Revenue increased 8% quarter-on-quarter.
