Earlier this month, retro handheld brand AYN said it would be increasing the price of both its Thor and Odin 3 handhelds. Those price hikes have now been announced, along with a surprise increase to the Odin 2 Portal. The changes will take effect later this week, with AYN suggesting that anyone interested in one of these handhelds should place an order now.
The good news is that the impact is much less than you may have first expected. Most models have risen by $10 USD, with the exception being the 1TB variant of the Thor Max, which will be $30 more expensive this time next week. AYN’s Thor and Odin 3 handhelds are currently on their batch 7 and batch 8 pre-orders, respectively.

You can find the full list of price changes below, courtesy of the AYN Discord. This is the second time this year we’ve seen AYN increase the price of these handhelds, the previous being in March with hikes up to $40. Just like with previous changes, we expect memory and storage shortages to be the driving force behind the price hikes.
