Running the unmodified Linux amdgpu driver on an iPad LemonSeed Studio released a single iPad app that embeds the unmodified upstream Linux amdgpu and amdkfd driver as a PCIDriverKit extension, driving an AMD GPU in a Thunderbolt enclosure for on-device LLM inference. The app bundles the mac_linuxgpu driver, the LemonSeed Engine inference engine running on the GPU through its HSA runtime and HRX/Loom, and the amdgpu_mtopg live GPU telemetry tool, with the original code available under MIT or GPL-2.0-only at the user's option.
