Roblox adding game creation feature to iPhone and iPad app

Roblox will launch a new AI-powered game creation feature called Roblox Build on iPhone and iPad later this month, allowing users to turn text prompts into playable experiences directly within the mobile app. The feature, which expands creation beyond desktop, will first be available as an alpha test in New Zealand starting July 28.

The mobile-first Roblox Build creation tool will be powered by AI. This means users can turn text prompts into gameplay experiences. Roblox also says it will introduce AI-powered features to enhance Roblox Studio, the desktop tool where all Roblox experiences are currently created today. “Build extends Roblox Studio, which creators have been successfully using for years, into the Roblox app,” Roblox says. “With a shared back end, models, and chat history, creators can start work in Build and enhance their creation with the broader capabilities of Studio, or launch agents from Studio and check in on progress from their mobile device.” Roblox Build will expand experience creation from requiring a Mac or PC to support iPhone, iPad, and Android.
