Roblox says it will soon bring game creation to mobile for the first time. This will allow users to create new playable experiences directly inside the iPhone and iPad app.
Roblox Build is coming to mobile #
The new Roblox Build feature will arrive later this month as part of the same mobile app where users play experiences.
The mobile-first Roblox Build creation tool will be powered by AI. This means users can turn text prompts into gameplay experiences.
Roblox also says it will introduce AI-powered features to enhance Roblox Studio, the desktop tool where all Roblox experiences are currently created today.
“Build extends Roblox Studio, which creators have been successfully using for years, into the Roblox app,” Roblox says.
“With a shared back end, models, and chat history, creators can start work in Build and enhance their creation with the broader capabilities of Studio, or launch agents from Studio and check in on progress from their mobile device.”
Roblox Build will expand experience creation from requiring a Mac or PC to support iPhone, iPad, and Android.
The company says the new Roblox Build will arrive on mobile starting July 28. Roblox is releasing the feature as an alpha test in New Zealand to start.
