This is a submission for the MLH x DEV Writing Challenge I built a skill-agent named Research-Finder, It looks for the related research paper according filters set by domains or/and professors.
It also reads and examines a particular paper and then answers regarding that paper, It can also help writing an Email to the professor with relevant references and your views on the paper.
But isn't this idea too simple ??
This is just the first phase of my main project Research-Coder,
The baseline is same, It examines the research-papers but that knowledge is not used to just write a email or chatbot, The info is used in your code.
Yeah code,The knowledge gained from the research paper is used to build your system architecture and figuring out best approach for training best Machine Learning model.
Also the uses of the knowlege are many, I have kept the project open-source so that developers from all over the world can use it or contribute to it. Also together we can figure out and implement maximum uses of the base idea.
Required changes -- Improving latency of the model -- Improving overall Architecture Design
Have you struggled like me, Reading multiple research paper before mailing a proffesor for a junior research internship, finding papers related to your Domains, and Going through full paper when someone ask you something simple :( I made a solution for the same - Research_finder -> It finds, reads and answers your question find research papers using filters - Multiple Domains, Multiple Profesors
But isn't this idea too simple ??
I felt it too, but we will be using this same skill and upgrade it to something more important Sometimes you might come to challenges/ hackathons (especiallly Kaggle) where just knowing the code is not enough you need High-level knowlege in chemistry , physics etc Here we are feeding our agents with knowlege from Research Papers by top Researchers in their field. :)
lets take a example…
I didn't used any MLH partners :{ I used OpenAlex for searching acadamic Papers.
I used Microsoft-Copilot for coding assistance.
I attended Hacktoberfest Hack Day Ahmedabad x Open Source Weekend
at ahmedabad.
It was my first-ever in-person hackathon and I had the best time there,I was nervous because It was first time building in a in-person hackathon that too in a less than 6hr format.
the event started with a talk from a experienced open-source contributor, While listening to him I got the idea for my project.
My brain clicked...
and I bult the project and guess what ?
I won, 1st place in open-source category.
Now i have got a Ardiuno Q4 to experiment with and cool swags.
Overall It was worth traveling 4hrs for and I suggest everyone to take part in such In-person events.
