Release cycles are now ‘planning cycles’ in un:hurd 2.0 update Music-marketing startup un:hurd Music has released version 2.0 of its platform, replacing 'release cycles' with 'planning cycles' to cover live shows and partnerships, and adding AI tools for generating press releases, bios, and pitches. The update, available to over 200,000 artists, also revamps Insights to focus on actionable summaries and improves fan hubs, advertising, and playlist-pitching tools. Music-marketing startup un:hurd Music https://www.unhurdmusic.com/ has rolled out a major update – version 2.0 – across its website and mobile apps. The company described the main goal of the update as one of “moving from tools that show artists their data to tools that tell them what to do next”. That includes retiring the term ‘release cycles’ in favour of ‘planning cycles’, which un:hurd says reflects the fact that it its planning tool can be for live shows, creative partnerships and other business goals as well as releases. un:hurd’s ‘Insights’ tool has been rejiggled to focus on “clear summaries and specific actions” suggested as a result of artists’ analytics, rather than leading with the stats. And yes, of course there are some AI elements, with tools to help artists generate press releases, bios, sync and brand pitches using AI – but still in their own tone of voice. Visual improvements to the ‘fan hubs’ created for artists, as well as upgrades to un:hurd’s advertising and playlist-pitching tools, are also part of the update, which is now available for the more-than 200,000 artists who have signed up for the platform.
