EspoCRM offers the Intelligence extension. It supports OpenAI, Gemini, Claude, and custom OpenAI-compatible providers. Its features include summaries, intelligent paste, an email composer, and formula functions. We did not verify a documented first-party MCP server during this review. Confirm any required MCP integration separately.
Relaticle includes built-in chat and an MCP server covering its CRM records, search, analysis, relationships, and file uploads. Administrators can configure supported cloud providers or a local Ollama model for chat. These surfaces are available in the self-hosted codebase.

The two write paths have different safety behavior. In Relaticle's in-app chat, an assistant write becomes a pending approval card. A human approves or discards it before the write happens. MCP tool writes from clients such as Claude Desktop or Claude Code commit directly, with no approval gate. This is not a claim that every AI-connected workflow has the same guardrail. It is a reason to choose the path that fits the level of human review you need.
Relaticle also exposes custom fields through the web app, REST API, and AI chat without per-field integration code. Supported types include text, number, currency, dates, choices, rich text, and record links. That matters when a team wants the same custom data available in daily CRM work and AI-assisted work.

For a growing team that only wants a predictable hosted CRM bill, Relaticle has the simpler model. The price stays the same as user count rises. For a team choosing EspoCRM Cloud, the plan's traditional CRM scope may justify seat pricing. We cannot claim otherwise from price alone. Self-hosted Relaticle has no software license fee and includes its CRM core. Chat still uses credits. EspoCRM has a free core and paid extensions for additional functions. Its workflow automation comes through Advanced Pack for self-hosters and is included in cloud plans.

Both products use PHP, but their stated deployment stories are not identical. Relaticle uses Laravel + Filament with PostgreSQL, Redis, and a Horizon queue worker. It deploys on a single server, with documented Docker Compose paths for Dokploy and Coolify. That is a practical fit for teams that want to operate one server while keeping the complete product.
EspoCRM offers a self-hosted PHP CRM and a collection of documented extensions. Inspect its repository for current maintenance activity. Community size alone does not establish whether either product meets your requirements.
EspoCRM may fit teams that need its traditional CRM modules and extension features. Test the specific modules you require instead of assuming that either product's core covers them.

EspoCRM's extension model comes with a tradeoff. Self-hosters buy paid extensions directly from EspoCRM's first-party store. That can be a reasonable path for a team that wants to assemble a traditional CRM from a core plus extensions. It also means extension purchasing is part of the operating model, and the core's sticker price is not the whole cost.
Relaticle covers companies, people, opportunities, tasks, and notes, with custom fields exposed across its application interfaces. Its self-hosted codebase includes chat and MCP. Check model access and credit limits separately from the record-management features.
Compare integrations and extension requirements directly. A team relying on EspoCRM's sales or workflow extensions should verify how it would replace those functions before moving to Relaticle.
