# Re-nationalised Bull wins $450m EU supercomputing contract > Source: > Published: 2026-08-31 13:38:58+00:00 [supercomputer](/tag/supercomputer/) France’s state-owned computing company Bull has won a contract with the European Union to build its next supercomputer, the €388 million ($450 million) LUMI-AI system in Finland. The company will build the system for the EuroHPC Joint Undertaking and LUMI AI Factory consortium after a [ 15-month bidding process](https://www.eurohpc-ju.europa.eu/eurohpc-ju-signs-contract-deploy-lumi-ai-supercomputer-2026-08-31_en?ref=thestack.technology), marking its largest project since it was bought from the struggling Atos Group.
