Rack View: your Kubernetes cluster as a live 3D datacenter Lens has introduced Rack View, a feature that renders a Kubernetes cluster as a live 3D datacenter, alongside an Extension Marketplace where extensions are published to npm under the lens-extension keyword. Lens also added an in-app extension builder that sets up a project and opens it in an AI tool such as Claude Code, so a user can describe an extension and have the AI tool build it, with changes appearing in Lens without a restart. Extensions are a premium feature, and Lens warns users to install only from trusted publishers since anyone can publish to the marketplace. Extensions Extension Marketplace Extensions add to what Lens can do, from new views of your clusters to tools for your workflow. They are published to npm with the lens-extension keyword, and anyone can publish one, so install only extensions from publishers you trust. Building an extension? Extension creators share what they make and help each other on the Lens Slack.
