Hi there,

I have been playing with a 9070XT until recently, but had some money saving and saw an R9700 at a not completely crazy price in the UK and got it.

Now I am wondering if it is worth it to keep both (will need a new PSU). Or if I am better off selling the 9070XT to recoup some of my expense.

I have had a look around and in Reddit and mostly I get the impression that selling and recouping is my best option, but there’s been enough videos about the R9700 in the youtube channel that I thought “Maybe someone in the forums has a good idea?”

with llama.cpp you can use split-mode layer to run models that are 32+16 GB

You could fit Qwen3.8-27B-UD-Q4_K_XL with the full 256k context windows and MTP
