PSSR for PlayStation 5 Pro hits 100 game milestone – here’s the full list of supported games so far The PlayStation 5 Pro's PSSR (PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution) technology has officially reached a milestone of support in over 100 games, with Sony pushing the AI-powered upscaling as a core feature of the ecosystem. PSSR uses machine learning to reconstruct lower-resolution images into sharper, near-4K visuals, improving performance without requiring full native rendering. The full list of supported titles includes major releases like *Cyberpunk 2077*, *God of War Ragnarök*, and *Final Fantasy VII Rebirth*, with more updates expected throughout the year. PSSR for PlayStation 5 Pro hits 100 game milestone – here’s the full list of supported games so far Table of Contents The PlayStation 5 Pro continues to receive more support from developers, and one of its biggest features has now reached an important milestone. Sony’s PSSR technology is officially supported in more than 100 games, showing that developers are quickly adopting the AI-powered feature for newer titles. Some titles feature support for ‘upgraded PSSR’, colloquially known as PSSR 2. Now that the technology has crossed the 100-game milestone, it’s clear Sony is heavily pushing PSSR as a core part of the PlayStation ecosystem moving forward, even if the original PS5 doesn’t have the hardware to support it. And with more developers continuing to update games – old and new – this list will likely keep growing throughout the year and beyond. PSSR, short for PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution, is Sony’s own AI-based upscaling technology designed specifically for the PS5 Pro. It works similarly to Nvidia’s DLSS technology on PC graphics cards, making it one of the biggest technical upgrades introduced with the console. The technology was also one of Sony’s main selling points for the PS5 Pro, alongside improved ray tracing and the upgraded GPU. For many players, PSSR is one of the biggest reasons to consider upgrading from the standard PS5. In simple terms, PSSR helps games look sharper and cleaner without forcing the console to fully render everything at native 4K resolution. Instead, the game can run internally at a lower resolution while PSSR uses AI and machine learning to intelligently reconstruct the image into something that looks much closer to true 4K. The biggest advantage is performance. Rendering games at full native 4K with advanced lighting, ray tracing, and high frame rates is extremely demanding, even for modern hardware. By using AI upscaling, developers can lower the rendering workload and instead use that extra power for better graphics, smoother gameplay, or more advanced visual effects.
